Death on my front porch,

knocking on the side windows, and rammed in my back door

2002

My mama’s time has came. She was called to transition this Tuesday  morning at 8:20am, just 5 minutes after I woke up, she took her last breath.

There is no love like a mother’s love. There is no understanding of self like your mama knows you. She gave me breath. She had the manual on all that which is me and now I regret to say my heartbeat is gone. There’s so much I wanted to do for her as her only child, her daughter, but wasn’t in the position to do so and on top of the emptiness and cold blood flowing through my veins, my heartbeat is gone away from me. She was the lady of my life, the apple of my eye. She could do no wrong in my eyes and I know most of all she loved me with the same fierce if not more.

Someone stop the world. Im a orphan now left without able to trust anyone in full or feel whole every again. The series of events were mind bottling in theirself but this final outcome not even mama herself could have prepared me for.

She would have been 60 next month. No grandchildren. Parents already passed. She is survived by one sister and one brother he is put away for life. Never married. Just one pregnancy, and I am the evolution of everything she purposely and unpurposefully taught me.

This is so unrealistic to me. And the dreams i kept having about my mama was giving me all the signs, but I kept them locked away in my subconscious and heart to never share for fear of not be I no understood or them getting them overlooked.

Man, my mama is GONE. Nothing really matters anymore. She is who I had forever in my corner and would get on the stand and do what she needed to do if she ever had to. I was her pride and joy. All I ever wanted my mama was to be happy whatever that so meant. All I ever wanted my mother to really feel she has a irreplaceable role in my life and no matter the situation or the decade, my feelings stayed the same.
